Had an AquaClean 8000 plus installed 2015 to assist my disabled son. This must have cost the state quite a bit. Within weeks the toilet was having problems. Reported issues and staff claim they have never had reports of problems. I find that very hard to believe because the thing has NEVER worked properly. Optional backside washer squirts all over the floor, and has a mind of its own. It also squirted friends and family all over their clothes. The control panel failed repeatedly and eventuay I just turned it off. A complete waste of money. Recently receiived (dec 2017) a circular from the company to state that the aqua 8000 plus, and one other model are proven fire hazards and are at risk of bursting into flames. Maytag electric range bcre 955 user manual. They suggest turning them on ONLY when in use! Think about it - it's a fire hazard and they actually suggest switching it on while in use! This demonstrates the mentality behind the company! The loo is a great idea in theory! Alas it simply doesn't work. A complete waste of money, time and space. A proven health hazard. Also pipe coming out of toilet is very small and has already been blocked because of build up of limescale. To see the faulty toilet in use please search 'The Geberit 'AquaClean 8000 Plus' in action = Demonstration' on you tube. 22-01-18 12:14PM - following the response from Geberit, in which they claim they have messaged me direct, shock horror - no they haven't! This now appears to be a marketing exercise to make yourseves look good guys! Funnily enough I'm based UK, and your chaps in the UK were also very big on promises and very poor on delivery! I will update this review only when you have contacted me, and again when you have resolved the problem, thus anyone reading this review - if you see no update - you know the problem remains unresolved! May this serve as a real time demonstration of the service standard offered by this alleged 'organisation'! 5th Feb 2018 - Having emailed the company, they have responded.. however, the joke service continues. We are now at the stage where Amanda responded to claim that there is nothing wrong with the 'model' I have, which completely contradicts the letter Geberit sent out! Which is right - the initial letter or Amanda??? Having gone back to question Amanda's email, Gurpal is now on the case and it appears that Amanda was talking non-sense. The saga continues (this is like War & Peace) - how hard can it be to keep organised and accurate records??? 26th Feb 2018: So it now appears the model I have is NOT affected by the sudden explosions into flames which raises the question 'why send me the warning in the first place'? Clearly the company does not keep and or maintain adequate records to confirm which client had which piece of equipment. We're not talking about electric screw drivers here - we're talking expensive kit!. Anyhow, Geberit insist the toilet works, which it doesn't. And now they have gone quiet. It seems to me they just don't wish to accept their lavatory doesn't work properly and now they are sulking - refusing to accept what I have filmed: which is water squirting indiscriminately at anyone approaching the loo! Let's see how long it takes for this compamy to hold up it's hands and do something. The toilet has been switched off since their last engineer visit - 2 years ago! I will update this post once they have resolved the issue. If it isn't updated then you know the problem still exists. Update: having sent Geberit video evidence showing that which they claim can never happen - they have booked an appointment to offer training on 1st May 2018. Now what 'training' might that be? This is supposed to be a lavatory which people with specialneeds can use - so whom do they propose to train? And why would training be needed to flush a lavatory? You can watch the footage by searching for 'The Geberit 'AquaClean 8000 Plus' in action = Demonstration' on You Tube. 1st May 2018 - so they called out - two chaps. They didn't even shake my hand. Excuses poured from the lips of the guys but wait a second - five minutes into their investigation and they admit the sensors on the lavatory were broken. This comes years after repeated allegations the customer is a liar and that their machine can't possibly failthe way I am claiming! What's the phrase I'm looking for? Oh yes, I remember now - 'I told you so'. So the guys repair the loo and it stops showering everyone with water and off they trot. Six weeks later the loo has broken again - now none of the sensors work - which means manual flushing. Still no loo seat which makes this lavatory a major health risk for the particles of faeces which may spray into the air upon flushing! But hey - they know best right?! And so they we are - the local council won't replace the loo, the loo is unfit for purpose in everyone's opinion other than geberit, and we have a £6k loo which doesn't work! And all we originally wanted was that the toilet be raised up in height. Do not allow one of these toilets to be installed in your home unless you are happy 1. to be called a liar and 2. to have years of mucking around while they try and make it work properly 3.for your local council to give thousands of pounds to this [dis]organisation. I'll update you as things progress but in short: there is no way I'm going to use this particular lavatory again as I do not trust it - it is faulty - something Geberit clearly do not wish to accept. I'd rather have a normal lavatory again - with a lid - for hygiene reasons.
